Terms & Policy
Plain-language terms for using this website and the shard smart contracts, followed by the privacy policy.
Last updated 25 September 2026.
1. What shard is
shard is a set of smart contracts deployed on NEAR (the factory at shardpad.near, the locker at lock.shardpad.near and the token code they publish) and this website, which is an interface to them. The contracts are permissionless: anyone with a NEAR account can use them directly, with or without this site. The site never holds funds, keys or tokens on your behalf.
2. Accepting these terms
By using the site or interacting with the contracts you accept these terms. If you do not agree, do not use them. You must be of legal age where you live and it must be lawful for you to use blockchain tokens there. You are responsible for your own taxes and for complying with the laws that apply to you.
3. No advice, no offer
Nothing on this site is investment, legal or tax advice, and nothing is an offer or recommendation to buy or sell any token. Prices, market caps and other numbers are read from the blockchain and third-party sources and can be wrong, delayed or manipulated.
4. Risks you accept
- Tokens launched through shard are speculative and can lose all of their value. Most will.
- Smart contracts can contain bugs. shard's contracts were reviewed but not independently audited. The code is what it is; there is no way to reverse a transaction.
- shard depends on third parties it does not control: the NEAR network, Rhea Finance pools, wallets, RPC providers and price feeds. Their outages or changes can affect the site and the contracts.
- Anyone can launch a token with any name, image or description. A token's account name proves it came from the factory; it proves nothing about the person behind it or their intentions. Do your own research.
- Network costs paid for a launch (storage, pool creation, gas) are consumed by the blockchain and cannot be refunded by shard.
5. Fees
Trades on a shard pool pay the 1% Rhea pool fee. Of that, Rhea keeps 20% and the remainder is split by the locker contract, 60% to the token's creator and 40% to shard. There is no fee for launching beyond the network costs the factory quotes before you sign. The split is enforced by code and described in the docs.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use shard to break the law, to launder money, to impersonate a person or organisation, to infringe someone's trademark or copyright, or to attack the contracts, the site or its infrastructure. shard may hide a token from this interface if it is being used that way; hiding it here does not and cannot remove it from the blockchain.
7. Your content
Names, tickers and images you submit at launch are written to the public blockchain permanently and cannot be edited or deleted by anyone, including shard. You confirm that you have the right to use them and that they do not infringe anyone's rights. You grant shard permission to display them on this site and in link previews.
8. Intellectual property
The shard name, logo and site design belong to shard. The contract source code is published under its own licence in the repository. Token creators own whatever rights they hold in their own names and artwork.
9. No warranty, limited liability
The site and the contracts are provided as they are, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. To the fullest extent the law allows, shard and the people who build it are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or the contracts, including lost funds, lost profits, or losses caused by third parties, other users or the tokens they create.
10. Changes
These terms may change. The date at the top tells you when. Using the site after a change means you accept the new version. The contracts already deployed do not change when this page does.

Privacy policy
What shard collects
Nothing that identifies you personally. There are no accounts, sign-ups, passwords or e-mail addresses. The site works from your wallet's public account name, which is public information on the NEAR blockchain.
Blockchain data
shard runs an indexer that reads public blocks and stores the launches, trades and balances that involve shard tokens, including the accounts that made them. This is a copy of data that is already public on chain and it powers the charts, trade lists and holder lists on this site.
Stored in your browser
The wallet library keeps your chosen wallet and connection state in your browser's local storage so you stay connected between visits. Removing it in your wallet or browser disconnects you. There are no advertising cookies and no analytics scripts.
Third parties
Loading the site and using it sends requests to the hosting provider, NEAR RPC providers, the indexer, and CoinGecko for the NEAR price. Each of them may see your IP address and log it under their own policies. Your wallet provider handles signing under its own policy.
Your choices
You can use the contracts without this website at all, through any NEAR tool. You can clear your browser's local storage at any time. Blockchain data cannot be deleted by shard or by anyone else.
